The San Francisco 49ers came within a couple of yards of a comeback in Miami and of course with that kind of a game, there are winners and losers. We’re not just talking about who walked away with a W at the end of regulation, we’re talking about who performed well and who did not.
Losers:
The secondary
The 49ers secondary gave up some big plays to Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins receivers. Overall Tannehill went 20/30 for 285 yards, three touchdowns and finished with a rating of 130.6. There were a few good plays made by the secondary including Rashard Robinson’s PBU preventing a touchdown but they gave up significantly more plays than they saved.
