The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to sign cornerback Richard Sherman to a three-year deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Sherman is a 49er.
Sherman had a two-day meeting with the 49ers on Friday night and Saturday and had scheduled a meeting with the Detroit Lions on Monday. However, that meeting won't be happening.

Sherman was informed by the Seattle Seahawks on Friday that he will be released. Seattle tried to trade Sherman, who is recovering from a ruptured Achilles he suffered in Seattle's win over the Cardinals on Nov. 9, last offseason without success. He was set to make $13.2 million in 2018 and only had a dead cap hit of $2.2 million.
The 29-year-old recorded 35 tackles with two interceptions and seven pass breakups in nine games last season.
