It's unclear what teams are interested in Bowman. Despite recent injuries, Bowman has 38 tackles this year. The teams interested are surely contenders.
Bowman, at age 29, will eventually be replaced by first round pick Reuben Foster even if Bowman isn't traded. The report of the 49ers talking trade with teams comes on the heels of the 49ers deciding to sit Bowman for some series to keep him fresh.
Bowman has a massive contract, one which runs through the 2022 season (when he'll be 34). However, any team that acquires Bowman would be able to easily get out of the contract not long after trading him. He's due the rest of his $6.75 million base salary this year, an $8.7 million base salary in 2018, a $750K roster bonus, a $2.55 million base salary in 2019 and a hefty $2 million roster bonus that year. He also has a $3.45 million option bonus due in March 2018.
