49ers Week 4 Overreactions recap the 25-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Should the 49ers have started C.J. Beathard instead of Nick Mullens on Sunday Night Football? Are 49ers injuries partly to blame for their struggles? Is the NFC West crown out of reach? Host Thomas Mott breaks down 49ers Rumors and what went wrong on today’s 49ers Report.
49ers rumors suggest that Jimmy Garoppolo could be back as soon as next week against the Dolphins. Nick Mullens turned the ball over three times vs. the Eagles, and the 49ers ended up benching him for C.J. Beathard. Beathard nearly led the 49ers to a comeback win, leaving fans wondering whether he should’ve started over Mullens.

49ers injuries continue to grow as DE Ziggy Ansah reportedly suffered a torn biceps and will be done for the year. The San Francisco 49ers cannot seem to catch a break with all the injuries, which might have played a role in their performance in Week 4.
49ers Week 4 saw them struggle to run the ball against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jerick McKinnon has had a solid 2020 season, but it’s clear the 49ers miss Raheem Mostert in the backfield. Their chances at the NFC West title are far from over, though, and they should be right back in the mix once they get healthier on both sides of the ball.
