The San Francisco 49ers have one of the NFL's most iconic uniforms, and they are getting a new edition for the upcoming season.
Team president Al Guido confirmed that the 49ers will unveil an alternate throwback uniform during tonight's "State of the Franchise" address.
“We will be rolling out a throwback/alternate jersey,” Guido told 95.7 The Game. “I certainly believe this will be a hit. We rolled them out to the team the other day and the reactions were tremendous.”
Rumors suggest the new throwbacks will be the 75th-anniversary uniforms the team wore when they won their last Super Bowl in 1994, which would go along with the franchise's new "Faithful then, Faithful now" slogan.

San Francisco introduced an all-black alternate uniform in 2015 as part of the NFL's Color Rush collaboration with Nike, but with the league canceling their policy forcing teams to wear Color Rush jerseys on Thursday Night Football, it's unclear if the 49ers will keep the black jerseys.
