The San Francisco 49ers fell to the Arizona Cardinals 24-20 on Sunday as Jimmy Garoppolo and the offense were unable to score on their final drive. Garoppolo struggled to find his WRs today as the 49ers QB seemed to miss both Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. The 49ers defense struggled all day against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense. Murray and the Cardinals rushed for 180 yards. Meanwhile, new Cardinal De’Andre Hopkins had himself a day as he caught 14 balls for 151 yards.
The 49ers secondary will have to regroup after getting carved up by De’Andre Hopkins. The 49ers used both Emmanuel Moseley and Ahkello Witherspoon in coverage but it did not seem to make a big difference.
