Niners Closing In On Kaepernick Trade?
General manager Trent Baalke, who typically holds personnel moves pretty close to the vest, floated the possibility of Colin Kaepernick being traded before week's end:

However, the top suitor for Kap in recent weeks doesn't see a deal going down. While a trade with the Denver Broncos hasn't been ruled out, the likelihood of it happening this weekend is "unlikely," according to a report.
Connor Cook Atop San Francisco's QB Wish List?
The 49ers have met with Michigan State signal-caller Connor Cook several times during the offseason, and when the QB was asked who he thought would select him in the draft, the Niners were the first team out of his mouth. While San Francisco probably won't address its need under center with seventh overall pick, using a second- or third-round selection on a mid-tier QB like Cook is a good bet.
