Tonight's batch of 49ers rumors could be music to the ears of the San Francisco 49ers faithful, with reports that the 49ers may be close to re-signing one of starting quarterback Colin Kaepernick's favorite targets.
Several sources close to the situation in San Francisco are indicating that 49ers management and Anquan Boldin may be within range of agreeing to terms on a multi-year contract that would keep the 3-time Pro Bowl wide receiver by the Bay.
Both insiders Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network and Dan Hanzus of NFL.com reinforced this notion earlier today, with Hanzus stating that, "barring an unforeseen bidder, expect Boldin to be lining up opposite Michael Crabtree come September."
Rapoport added that there is a great relationship between the San Francisco 49ers brass and the 11-year veteran, and that the 49ers "want WR Anquan Boldin back and the feeling is mutual."
Anquan Boldin had a stellar return to form this season with the 49ers, amassing 1179 receiving yards for his highest yardage total since his 2006 Pro Bowl season with the Arizona Cardinals.
