In tonight's edition of 49ers rumors, the San Francisco 49ers may have a dark horse draft candidate on their draft board in former San Jose State quarterback David Fales.
Per Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle, Fales has truly impressed 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh:
“@Eric_Branch: Jim Harbaugh said San Jose State’s David Fales is among his top 5 QBs in the draft class. #49ers” >> why would he say that?

CBSSports.com has David Fales projecting somewhere near a fifth or sixth round draft pick, with him ranking #10 at the quarterback position in the 2014 NFL Draft:
"Quick-footed in his drops with an excellent feel in the pocket to step up and maneuver while keeping his eyes downfield. Smart pre-snap reads and understands exactly where he wants to go with the ball, using his above average peripheral vision. Good footwork and his bottom half always appears in sync with what's going on above the waist," states CBSSports.com's draft profile on the former San Jose State Spartan.
His quickness and pocket awareness may have him vaulting up Jim Harbaugh and general manager Trent Baalke's draft board, and could potentially land him back in the Bay Area come May.
