After a disappointing Super Bowl loss, the San Francisco 49ers are looking to reload for the 2013 season. Admittedly, the 49ers are weakest at the cornerback position and are looking for a strong CB to help anchor their already solid defense.
The most interesting name floating in free-agnecy right now is former Philadelphia Eagle Nnamdi Asomugha. Just two summers ago Asomugha was one of the most sought after free agents on the market, but two disappointing seasons in Philadelphia cooled off teams interest in him.

Regardless, Asomugha is an elite veteran CB who would be an excellent pickup for the Niners. The problem is that Nnamdi is going to want for more money than he is probably worth right now, given that the free agency market is currently saturate with available CB's. If Nnamdi is willing to take a pay cut to play for one of the best defenses in the league, then look for the Niners to make this deal happen.
Other CB's the Niners will evaluate this offseason are New York Jets star, Darrelle Revis, and Eric Wright from the Minnesota Vikings. Both of these players would make excellent additions to the Niners roster and could certainty could be bargaining chips for the Niners to make a deal with Asomugha.
