In 49ers news today, the San Francisco 49ers may have settled on a potential target at wide receiver in the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft.
Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk (by way of information obtained from Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee), the San Francisco 49ers will host former Clemson wide receiver Martavis Bryant on Monday.
Bryant is projected to go somewhere in the middle to late rounds of May's NFL Draft, and has seeen himself overshadowed by his former teammate and fellow wide receiver Sammy Watkins when it comes to publicity.
However, the San Francisco 49ers may see some solid value in Bryant from a physical perspective. Bryant stands six-foot-four and ran a 4.42 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He had a 19.7 yards per catch average in 2013, and could add needed big play ability to the 49ers receiving corps.
Bryant has twelve visits scheduled with NFL teams according to Barrows, and will meet with the Baltimore Ravens as well this week.
