The San Francisco 49ers picked up a veteran all-purpose weapon in Reggie Bush this offseason, and Bush is looking to live up to that label on special teams in 2015.
Per Jared Dubin of CBS Sports, "at Thursday's 49ers practice, Bush was fielding punts, according to various reports, and he said afterward that he may even do it during the season. “It was my idea,” Bush said, per CSNBayArea.com. “I told the coaches I wanted to return punts again. And they were excited about it. We're still working at it, still chipping away. And we look forward to being an all-around great special teams.”'

While the 49ers may not want to risk their investment in Bush on special teams, he'd provide an instant boost to a unit that was fourth-worst in the NFL last season with an average punt return of 6.5 yards.
Bush hasn't returned a punt since 2011, but he does have five returns for touchdown in his career including one in the postseason.
