Women’s water polo hits gold in Northern California

The San Diego State women’s water polo team traveled to Northern California this past weekend, winning two of its three games.

SDSU, ranked 18th in the nation, splashed Santa Clara University (9-3) and No. 12 University of Pacific (10-7) out of the pool, but sunk against No. 3 Stanford University (14-5).

The Aztecs hopped around the Bay Area, playing in Santa Clara on Friday, Stockton on Saturday and Palo Alto on Sunday.

Their overall record improved to 13-14, yet with the wins over SCU and Pacific, the Aztecs remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0.

“I was very pleased with our performance,” head coach Carin Crawford said.
