San Diego State's Malik Pope will be held out of games while the school investigates an alleged loan made to the senior forward, coach Brian Dutcher announced Friday.
Pope's name appears in documents related to the FBI investigation into corruption in men's college basketball that were released by Yahoo! Sports on Friday.
In the documents, Pope is listed as receiving a $1,400 loan from former ASM Sports associate Christian Dawkins.
A number of high-profile programs and current and former players were named in the report.
Pope is the first player pulled from games since the publication of the Yahoo!
