San Diego State football defeated the University of New Mexico by a final score of 31-23 to overcome a nine-point deficit on Saturday night at Dreamstyle Stadium.
The Aztecs (7-2, 4-1) trailed the Lobos (3-6, 1-4) 23-14 with 10:07 left in the game.
SDSU senior quarterback Christian Chapman made his return since suffering a knee injury on Sept. 8. He found junior tight end Kahale Warring for a 19-yard score to cut the Lobos’ lead 23-21.
