The Padres don’t have a true leadoff hitter. That didn’t lead anyone to ask Wil Myers to adopt a more selective approach when they wedged the budding power hitter into their leadoff spot.
“They said just be the same hitter you've always been,” Myers said Sunday morning after walking twice in back-to-back games and pushing his major-league-best run total to 25.
