What the Padres have learned about Chris Paddack is what Mets clearly don’t know

So now the Mets know how good Chris Paddack is.

But they don’t know who Paddack is.

“If he was upset about it, I’m assuming he could have been a little jealous,” Mets first baseman Pete Alonso said Monday night. “He had a hell of a first month. He had like a sub-2.00 ERA. That’s a great month. I’m happy to win it. If he was mad about that, there’s five other months. There’s five months left to the season. He also said something about winning Rookie of the Year. That’d be nice, but I’m trying to win a World Series.
