For the last couple of years, it has been assumed that Fernando Tatis Jr. would be joined by Luis Urias in the middle of the San Diego Padres infield for the foreseeable future.
When Urias was called up a few weeks ago, it looked like that era was starting sooner rather than later. When Urias was sent back down to the minors this week, after looking completely lost at the plate, some worried that he might be the type of player that can succeed in the minors but never make an impact at the major-league level.
