SAN DIEGO -- Luis Urias is on the board.
The 21-year-old Padres prospect, ranked as MLB Pipeline's top second baseman, notched his first career hit in the bottom of the third inning against the Mariners on Wednesday afternoon. He took an 0-1 fastball from Seattle starter Erasmo Ramirez to the opposite field for a single.
Urias earned his promotion Tuesday, before he went 0-for-3 with a walk. He lined out to center in the first Wednesday, before his single off Ramirez sparked a four-run rally, which put the Padres on top, 7-1.
