Two home runs isn't enough for a win

On July 19, The Padres took on the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Unfortunately, The Padres couldn’t grab the win, but it was a close game.

For once, I am very impressed with the pitching staff today. We managed to only use 3 of our pitchers and not give up a bunch of runs. Starting on the mound today was Eric Lauer who threw 4.2 innings. Although he gave up 5 runs, The Padres were able to keep up with their own runs. Lauer threw 85 pitches total and 51 strikes.
