Tony Gwynn left us two years ago today, but the memory of him is never far away.
There's one memory that always comes back to me on the eve of the College World Series.
Early in his head coaching career at San Diego State, Gwynn visited Omaha, Neb., for the CWS to do some broadcast work for ESPN.
On an off day, I was fortunate enough to join him for a round of golf. Just over the bridge from Omaha is Council Bluffs, Iowa, where off we went to a little course called the Dodge Riverside Golf Club.
