Eight innings into his career, 20-year-old Andres Muñoz is second in the majors with an average pitch velocity of 100.2 mph and has topped 102 mph on occasion. Yet it’s the development of his slider – a pitch that he’s using more than 30 percent of the time thus far – that’s helped him fan 10 batters and remain unscored upon heading into the weekend series at Dodger Stadium.
