Cal Quantrill made his major league debut this week in Atlanta, joining his father, Paul, as the second father-son duo to play for the Padres (the Gwynns, obviously, were the first). The 24-year-old Quantrill was the eighth overall pick in the 2016 draft but followed Joey Lucchesi (114th overall) and Eric Lauer (25th overall) as the third Padres pitcher from that class to reach the majors after moving a year further away from his 2015 Tommy John surgery.
