For a while, the San Diego Padres were just trying to break a losing streak. Now they have a four-game winning streak going after Wednesday’s win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
And the irony is, they’re not doing anything that much differently.
San Diego put together another late-inning rally, this time in the seventh, to edge out the Brewers by a score of 8-7. They swept the three-game series, which was also their entire homestand; they start a five-game road trip on Friday.
This time, it was right fielder Franmil Reyes and first baseman Eric Hosmer who were the heroes for the Padres.
