The honors continue to roll in for former San Diego Padres closer and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Trevor Hoffman. It was announced on Monday that the city of San Diego will rename a one-block stretch of Park Avenue to “Trevor Hoffman Way.”
Petco Park will now sit adjacent to the intersection of Trevor Hoffman Way and Tony Gwynn Drive, two of the most iconic players not just in Padres history, but in Major League Baseball history. The ceremony will take place on Friday night before the Friars begin their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
