San Diego Padres Lose in Extras, and Opening Day MLB Rundown

The San Diego Padres showed their moxie in a hard-fought loss to the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday afternoon at Petco Park.

Chase Anderson went six innings for the Brewers, striking out six and walking three. Lorenzo Cain went 3-5 in his Milwaukee debut and Christian Yelich went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in his team debut.

Clayton Richard went seven innings for the Friars, striking out four and walking just one batter. The Pads’ bullpen was solid, getting clean outings from Kirby Yates, Kyle McGrath, Craig Stammen, and two innings from Brad Hand before Adam Cimber gave up what proved to be the winning run in the 12th.
