San Diego Padres: Franchy Headed to DL, Renfroe to be Activated

As per reports, the San Diego Padres will be sending rookie outfielder and exit velocity extraordinaire Franchy Cordero to the disabled list with forearm soreness. The team will be activating Hunter Renfroe to take Cordero’s place on the roster, according to A.J. Cassavell of MLB.com.

Cordero, 23, is hitting .237 for the season with a .746 OPS, seven home runs, 19 runs batted in, and five doubles. After slashing .254/.306/.552 with six homers and thirteen RBI in April, the Dominican product colled off a bit in May.

In 81 plate appearances this month, Cordero is hitting .
