What a tough month it’s been for the San Diego Padres.
Just in the beginning of July, the Friars were talking about playoffs perhaps a year ahead of schedule. They had taken three out of four from the Los Angeles Dodgers to roll into the All-Star break at 45-45. Things were looking up and there was hype and excitement going into the second half of the season.
Things began to crumble almost as soon as they were built up.
The Padres have gone 6-15 and haven’t won a single series since.
