San Diego Padres: Dinelson Lamet Earns Win in Debut

The San Diego Padres threw Dinelson Lamet right into the fire, Thursday night as his MLB début was set in what is arguably Baseball’s toughest city to pitch in. Lamet handled the pressure very well but he also got some early help to settle himself down.

On the opposing side, Rafael Montero took the mound for the Metropolitans. The young right hander who has struggled as of late, had a rocky start. Montero gave up 2 quick runs in the first inning and a third run in the 3rd inning. This caused the Mets bullpen to have a long night as he left the game after 3 innings.
