The Friars lost their starting centerfielder, Manuel Margot, to a disabled list stint this morning with “significantly bruised” ribs after taking a 95 MPH heater in the left rib cage in last nights win over the Rox.
The team called up outfielder Franchy Cordero this morning to take his place on the roster and plugged the 23-year-old right into the lineup, starting in centerfield and leading off the game at the plate.
