San Diego Padres Brandon Lockridge is on a mission to become more than a fourth outfielder on the roster. With Jackson Merrill on the injured list with a hamstring strain, Lockridge can strengthen his hold as the permanent right-handed hitting option opposite Jason Heyward in a left field platoon.
