SAN DIEGO -- Tyson Ross calmed some early nerves and made certain his return to the Petco Park mound on Tuesday night was a quality one.
The veteran right-hander allowed three runs over six innings against the Rockies, his first start for the Padres since Opening Day 2016. He allowed three runs over the first four frames before finding a groove in the fifth and sixth. Ross walked three, struck out two and allowed five hits.
It was a long road back for Ross, who missed the rest of that 2016 season with a shoulder injury.
