Tapped to participate in the home run derby, Joc Pederson and Kris Bryant appeared poised to run away with the NL Rookie of the Year race. They've since combined for three homers, leaving room for a late arrival to steal thunder as the season progresses.
3B Kris Bryant
Bryant has homered twice since the All-Star break and is hitting .133/.250/.267 over that stretch, lowering his batting average from .266 to .246. He still leads all rookies with 61 RBIs, but piling up 25 strikeout sin his last 17 games is cause for concern.
