SAN DIEGO -- Franmil Reyes left no doubt.
The rookie Padres slugger had been mired in something of a rut over the past three weeks -- until the bottom of the 13th inning on Thursday night against the Rockies. He turned around a Bryan Shaw cutter and launched it into the San Diego bullpen, sending the Padres to a wild 3-2 victory in the series opener at Petco Park.
It was their first walk-off homer of the season and the first walk-off of any kind for Reyes at the big league level.
