Even after landing on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain four months ago, shifting his rehab process to Peoria, Ariz., and then Lake Elsinore, Jemile Weeks had maintained the same locker in the Padres clubhouse.
This month’s rosters expansion forced Weeks to bunk up with Jon Edwards upon rejoining the team Thursday. How soon the 29-year-old infielder sees game action again in the majors depends on regaining the athleticism that he displayed this spring.
“He’s got to get to the point where he’s running 100 percent,” Padres manager Andy Green said.
