HOUSTON -- The Astros and Padres appeared to be a sizable mismatch heading into the Interleague series at Minute Maid Park. Nobody told Luis Perdomo and Jose Pirela.
Perdomo held the high-octane Astros to one run and four hits in five innings, and Pirela had three hits, including a tie-breaking, two-run double in the fifth inning, as the Padres snapped Houston's five-game winning streak with a 4-1 victory Friday night.
It was just the second win of the season for the Padres, who were playing in Houston for the first time in nearly six years.
