Padres top prospects show off vs. Dodgers

The San Diego Padres played their third spring training game at Camelback Ranch vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers, an 8-3 Dodgers victory. It was the Padres’ first loss of the spring.

Their first road game of spring saw the team leave all their regulars in Peoria and bring prospects and players competing for positions. Utility player Tyler Wade started at second and Connor Joe played in left field with Gavin Sheets at first base. Outfielder Oscar Gonzalez played in his third straight game, starting at DH.

Promising prospects Leo DeVries and Ethan Salas both started at shortstop and catcher, respectively.
