On June 8, the Padres took on the Washington Nationals in the third game of the series. Unfortunately, the Padres couldn’t take the win. Unlike last night’s game, the rubber had less pitchers and the scoreboard had less runs.
If you have been following the Padres at all, you know they have been struggling in the pitching department. To our surprise, the Padres made it to the seventh inning before going to the bullpen. Matt Lauer threw 101 pitches total with 67 strikes and gave up all four runs. Following Lauer was Luis Perdomo and Gerardo Reyes who both held the Nationals at 4 runs.
