Austin Nola had himself a night as he drove in a career-high six runs while leading an offensive explosion against St. Louis on Saturday night en route to a 13-3 walloping of the Cardinals in Petco Park. The Padres also recorded a a home run in each of the first three innings thanks to Tommy Pham, Ha-Seong Kim, and Nola, respectively.
Behind Nola, Pham and Manny Machado each drove in a pair of runs while Kim, Bryan O’Grady, and Patrick Kivelhan rounded out the days scoring with one apiece.
After San Diego put up six runs through the first three innings, the Cardinals responded with a pair homers of their own to bring the score to 6-2.
