San Diego Padres manager Mike Shildt admitted today that veteran starter Yu Darvish is experiencing elbow inflammation and is day-to-day with his ramp up to the start of the season.
A tweet from San Diego Union-Tribune reporter Kevin Acee stated that Shildt acknowledged today during their media scrum that Darvish had a tight elbow after his last start on March 13. His regular bullpen and next start date have been pushed back, although Shildt did say that Darvish played catch today.
