MIAMI —
Chris Paddack did not allow a hit in his final three starts for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the low-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
He went five innings in each of those starts. Three runners reached base. He walked one, hit two. He struck out 29 of the 47 batters he faced.
The last of those games was June 25, 2016. He was traded to the Padres five days later.
“I have nothing bad to say,” Paddack said of the Marlins. “They’re the first team to give me a chance. They were the first team to have hopes in me.
