Bryce Harper talks are "intensifying" and "heating up," and several teams are still in play, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. One of those clubs is the Padres, who Heyman reports "have made serious offers for both [Manny] Machado and Harper."
Heyman adds that the offer made to Machado is believed to be for about eight years and $250 million, though the San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee reports the offer is for more than $250 million.
