Right-hander Craig Stammen filed for free agency, the Padres declined to pick up options for injured relievers Aaron Loup and Adam Warren and left-hander Robbie Erlin elected free agency after clearing waivers. Also departing are right-hander Robert Stock, claimed off waivers by the Phillies, and outfielder Travis Jankowski, traded to the Reds for international slot money.

Meanwhile, right-hander Brett Kennedy was outrighted off the 40-man roster to Triple-A El Paso.

The 35-year-old Stammen went 8-7 with a 3.
