The San Diego Padres held a yard sale Wednesday evening in New York. No, the “super trade” fans have been anticipating did not happen; but rather, the Padres played to their potential and put some early runs on the board.
The Padres got off to a fast start off Bartolo Colon. After singles by Will Venable and Yangervis Solarte, 3-4 hitters Matt Kemp and Justin Upton swooped up RBI’s to take the early 2-0 lead.
