The Padres’ broadcast crews will call every game this season, home and away, from their respective booths at Petco Park.
Under protocols Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association devised for the coronavirus-altered season, no team television crews will be on the road, and travel for radio play-by-play crews is at each team’s discretion.
“The goal is to get the broadcasts to our fans, while keeping everyone as safe as possible,” said Wayne Partello, Padres senior vice president, chief marketing officer. “If we need to make some concessions to accomplish that goal, I think we will all happily do that.
