The San Diego Padres lost another player to the injured list. Reliever Logan Gillaspie left Saturday night’s game versus the Tampa Bay Rays after doubling over in pain during his outing. This will be the twelfth player lost from the roster due to injury. Gillaspie joins fellow pitchers Yu Darvish, Bryan Hoeing, Sean Reynolds, Joe Musgrove, and Jhony Brito.
Pitcher David Morgan was promoted from Double-A San Antonio and placed on the roster after Bryan Hoeing was transferred to the 60-day IL (retroactive to March 24). Morgan, 25, is a right-handed pitcher signed by the Padres in 2022 as a free agent.
