Padres 'pen burned after Perdomo's solid start

OAKLAND -- Luis Perdomo earned his way back into the Padres' rotation with an impressive couple months at Triple-A El Paso. He may have earned his right to stay in the rotation on Wednesday afternoon.

In a 4-2 loss to Oakland, Perdomo -- making his first big league appearance since April 18 -- put forth his best start of the season. He worked 5 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on four hits, while recording nine outs via the ground ball.
