The Padres got a pair of ground rule doubles and a solo home run from Wil Myers that helped them survive a late comeback by the Giants in a 5-4 victory to end the regular season on Sunday afternoon.
Myers’ recorded his 15 home run of the season in the second inning to give the Friars the early lead at 1-0. With that deep shot, that gave San Diego three separate batters inside the top-15 in home runs from the regular season, which just fits right in with the theme of this Padres team.
