MILWAUKEE —
The same reason Hunter Renfroe played through two ankle injuries and other maladies he won’t make known is the reason he’s happy to be returning.
“Sitting on the bench, being miserable, having the life sucked out of me watching,” Renfroe said. "… It’s been a disaster. I’m glad to be back. Ready to go.”
Barring something unexpected, Renfroe will start Tuesday night against the Brewers, his first time in a game since Sept. 7 and his first start since Sept. 4.
He tracked fly balls in the outfield Monday afternoon and took batting practice for a third day to make sure his right ankle was ready for the pushing off that swinging and throwing requires.
