Austin Hedges was behind the plate while Francisco Mejia made his second start of the season in left field.
“Franky has been one of the best hitters in baseball in August,” Green said. “Days he’s not behind the dish — there was not a chance he was going to catch three games this series — so when he’s swinging the bat as hot as he has against a guy who’s this tough on certain types of hitters, it makes sense to work him in there.
